Cape Cod is THE place for recreation. We will be building this section with the best of the activities that our guests enjoy here. Here's a start:
Beaches - Its why people come to Cape Cod! Cape Cod is home to 111 ocean beaches! There are 7 beaches within 5 miles of the inn. Our favorites nearby: Craigville Beach, Sandy Neck Beach. All around the cape we love: Nauset Beach, Coast Guard Beach and Race Point Beach. The perfect activity for a summer day!
Whale Watching - The Cape Cod area is one of the top ten places in the world to see whales. Most of the whales are migratory, so late April through late October is the time to take a whale watch voyage. Our favorites:
Hyannis Whale Watch (Barnstable Harbor) 800 287-0374 or 508 362-6088
The Dolphin Fleet (Provincetown Harbor) 800 826-9300 or 508 240-3636
Sport Fishing - Striper and Bluefish fishing at its best! Call Captain Glen at Rockin Robin Fishing Charters 774 722-0974 www.capecodbayfishingcharters.com
Bicycling - Cape Cod has some great bike trails and the best is the Rail Trail through Dennis, Brewster, Orleans and Eastham. We recommend the best place to rent a bike on the Rail Trail - Brewster Bike 508 896-8149.
Kayaking - Cape Cod's waterways offer excellent kayaking opportunities. We recommend:
Cape Cod Waterways 508 398-0080 for beginners and an easy trip
Osprey Sea Kayak Adventrues 508 240-1211 for a spectacular trip!
Antique Shopping - Route 6A is home to nearly 100 antique shops of all varieties. Our favorites:
The Antiques Center of Cape Cod (Dennis) 508 385-6400 and don't miss the warehouse in the back!
Sandwich Antiques Center 508 833-3600 and don't miss the Sandwich Auction House auctions 508 888 - 1926 for auction schedules.
